A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child. --Forest E. Witcraft

Back to Work

Literally!  Today was my first day back to work since before Christmas.  It was wonderful to have the time off to be with the kids, catch up on sleep, and de-stress.  Unfortunately, I didn't get nearly as much done around the house as I had hoped, but I'm okay with that.

Tonight I took Sweets back to her dad's, as tomorrow is her first day back to school.  Bad news: his cell phone is not working and he can't pay for it until Friday.  Good news: they now have a queen size box spring AND mattress to sleep on, instead of the floor or only a twin box spring!

  1. i am still SHOCKED that they let her go there with no furnishing to speak of. my bio parents practically have to have the same set up for the kids as i have to.

  2. How can anyone get anything done with the kids around? But I LOVE the chaos they bring into my life! Happy New Year! I'm your newest follower.

  3. He had an apartment (as opposed to a bedroom in a friend's house) and a twin bed for her when she was sent to live with him, but that was 3 1/2 years ago. They closed the case four months later (in my opinion, so he didn't have time to fail). It all went downhill from there.
