A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child. --Forest E. Witcraft

Dinner

Tonight was my opportunity to take May out for her birthday dinner, to celebrate her becoming a teenager.  It was just the two of us.

I selected a steakhouse which serves skewered meats sliced table-side.  It was all you can eat with a large salad bar as well.  The restaurant was a bit pricey, but for special occasions, it is nice to splurge.  May likes to eat, so this was perfect.  She even found room for dessert at the end!

May really enjoyed the evening.  I think she has thanked me at least five times, and that's since we left, not counting the times during dinner!

  2. Happy Birthday, May! I'm so glad that you two had a wonderful mom-and-daughter time together. There are never enough of those times when you have multiple kids.
